21 Jun Fifth International Conference on the Archaeology of Paros and the Cyclades: Paros through the ages from prehistoric times to the 16th century (21-24/6/2019)
The Fifth International Meeting on the Archaeology of Paros and the Cyclades was organized by the Institute for Archaeology of Paros and the Cyclades, with co-organisers the Municipality of Paros and the Cultural Society “Archilochos”. It was held at Paroikia, Paros, Greece, 21 – 24/6/2021. The theme of the conference was “Paros through the ages: from prehistoric times to the 16th century” and the aim to gather together the scholars from several scientific fields (archaeology, history, art, geology, geophysics etc) to present the results of recent studies on Paros, Antiparos and Despotiko Islands.
ΑΚΤES contributed four original presentations, of which one in collaboration with the Geoswim Programme and the University of Trieste (Italy) and one in collaboration with the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, Rome (Italy), the University of Bari Aldo Moro (Italy) and the LESIA, Observatoire de Paris, Université PSL, CNRS, Sorbonne Université (France). All presentations were approved by the Scientific Committee for publication as full papers in the proceedings of the conference (2021).
